Default Dealers in the Midwest (Ky, Ind, Oh, etc.)

What are some good Taylor dealers in this part of the country that have good selections and offer the best pricing?

I have only heard good things about Wildwood music. Although I have never purchased from them, I recently got a price from them and it was exceptional. They go XX% off list, as a rule.

Nothing good up here in the Cleveland area. Goose Acres is about it, but they are very pricey. I believe getgo has found a good collection of Taylor guitars at Elderly's up in Lansing, MI.

Elderlys has a great inventory of Taylors as well as many other fine acoustics. Quite a ways from Louisville though. Don't you wish First Quality carried Taylor?

I recently bought a 514ce from Wildwood Music in Cochocton. Not only was the price exceptional, the service was the best I've ever received in a music store. Don and Marty are the best!

Hi to all:

Elderly Instruments in Lansing is really an incredible shop. They have a huge amount of instruments in stock, are very knowledgable, and do excellent repairwork. I believe they are one of the largest Taylor dealers - so their selections run deep.

Just my thoughts on the matter!

Greetings all,
I have to second Wildwood Music. Great store all around. Also Backstage Music in Jeromesville, OH. They are a great little Mom and Pop operation. Although they don’t have a selection as vast, the prices are right with Wildwood and they too have great service.

There are a couple of good places in Greenwood, Indiana....about a 2 hour drive up I-65 for you. Guitarworks has a good selection of Taylors, but high prices. Pretty good staff.

IRC Music has a much smaller selection of Taylors, but they have better prices.

Also in Greenwood is Guitars and More which has some awesome PRS electrics and a nice selection of Seagull guitars. They also carry Rainsong acoustics which I like.

Isn't Guitar Emporium in Louisville a Taylor Dealer?

How come they don't list Taylors in their catalog or on their website?

Yo RHS...

Welcome to the forum.

Taylor has a 'different' advertising policy than most. They don't allow their dealers to advertise that they carry Taylors in media ads. Sounds strange, and drives some folks crazy. But it seems to work well...... look how fast the LTD's sell out.

This seems to be a particular sore spot with folks at the Martin forum, for some reason.....??

Anyway, Taylor lists all their dealers on the taylor web-site, so they're not that hard to find.

Default Taylor dealers in the midwest

Have you tried the Music Shoppe in Harrison, OH? I recently bought a 2002 710-LTD there. Nice folks and good service and prices! (Also one very nice guitar.) They probably have one of the better selections of Taylor guitars in Cincinnati area.

I'll toss in for Mass Street Music in Lawrence KS. Big selection nof Taylors, Huss & Dalton. Goodall, Martins. Lawrence is kind od western midwest. If you are ever in Eastern KS it's worth the trip.
