A Place to Be
Hey all,
I'm a beginning guitarist who has completed the Hal Leonard Guitar Method (Books 1-3) with an instructor. These books cover basic rhythm, chords (up to barre), (briefly) fingerstyle, and simple articulation. (About a year's study.) I'm off at university now so, unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of seeing my teacher anymore; but, I am interested in continuing my studies on my own. Are there any books that you would recommend for me to study from considering my present experiences? I'm very interested in developing fingerstyle technique, and I do enjoy both classical and contemporary music. I don't need or want simple pop tunes that I can just bang out. . . Thanks for your help, - Hayden |

Tommy Emmanual. "Only" tab book, you have to buy the CD separately. In the show and tell section MitchC plays Tommy's "Those Who Wait" almost exactly like Tommy, so it will give you an idea of what to expect from Tommy's "Only." Trust me, it will inspire you and push you to your limits, but in the end you will be better for it.
