Default Guitar Center calling

Is GC trying to be Sweetwater all of a sudden? I keep getting calls from my “gear advisor” and they leave a voicemail. Then I get an email saying they left me a voicemail. They want to tell me about some great deals they have going. I’m not a fan of the harassment style of marketing. Easy enough to ignore but annoying nonetheless. Anyone else getting these?

That’s funny. I called to tried to buy something last week and after a while he asked if he could call me back because he needed some help and his manager was busy. Never heard back. Was roughly about a $1500 sale so they must be super busy at my local GC.

GC used to do this a number of yrs ago as I recall. I would get calls telling they have have a great deal on something I had been looking at, etc. It didn't bother me but I found it kind of helpful in case I still wanted said product. But I've not gotten one of those calls in a long time.
