Question D tuner for a twelve string?

I have started to play more often in drop D. But I really like playing 12's does anyone know if they make a D tuner that will drop both of the low E's?

Let me see if I understand the question...I have a 12 string and I play in drop D tunning from time to time. I use my electric tuner to tune down to D (not always I can do it myself) But the tuner will pick up both octives, I just usually do it one at a time.

No, I was wonering if they make the lever that drops the E to a D for a twelve string.

Do you mean like an EVH D-tuna? That little knob you pull back on to drop an electric guitar from E to D? If thats the case, highly unlikely. But, you do have a tuner on board your guitar already, use your D string!!!!

I think what he is looking for , is the ability to change the low E string without having to "retune".

That is what the knob does on a 6 string that is set up with one!

I've never heard of one on a 12.

Any good chromatic tuner will pick up the D note, both the 4th string and the octave...

I don't recall ever seeing one, but Kyser makes a 'dropped D" capo. It has a notch just out for the low D strings. Slap it on and you're immediately in 'dropped D'.

Default 12 string

yes I love my 12 string dropped to d

I find it easier to tune my guitar to standard tunning with the capo on the 2nd fret\
and then when i take the capo off it is in dropp d

it is awesome
