Post 12 strings

I am looking at 12 strings and am most interested in either a 355 or a 455. I currently have a 414 ce and love the tone. I have played several 355s around town but have yet to see a 455. Anyone played a 455, if so your opinions, thanks.

Oh Yeah!!! I have the 455CE and it is a gem!! I had both the 355 and 355CE and then switched to the 655CE and still was not happy so I tried a 455CE and had to take er' home. It has the bright chimey sound and plenty of warm bottom with nice mellow mids. This is a 12er' that I will keep for a long time.

Cool

As much as I love my Taylor 6-string (615), I also love my Guild jumbo 12 string (JF-55-12).

When shopping around for a 12 string guitar, don't overlook the Guilds.

Cool

Never played a 455 but every 355 Ive played is super. I have one of the only two Koa 355s Ive heard of and I cant say enough about it. Its a keeper for sure! every 12 string taylor Ive ever played sings to me. Every single one! Its the only guitar other than K14s I can say that about. JW

Thanks for the input, I also saw a brand new 555, manufactured in 1998 that has been hanging around the shop for a while. Cosmetically, it appears in good shape but the strings are dead. What are your thoughts on a guitar like this that has been hanging around (literally) for a couple of years. I am concerned about the effects of humidity and exposure on a 12 string.
