Default New 714ce--OK, I'm a convert.

It's been a long road, but I guess I'm here. Bought my first Taylor last week. Been playing 40 years or so (you would think I'd be better at it). Now-a-days I do mostly praise and worship in several different venues and have been looking for some time for the sound I wanted. Have been through to many others to name. Most recently a very nice Larrivee LV05E which came really close (I finally realized I prefer rosewood to mahogany). Went to Asheville a few weeks ago and played a 714ce and thought mmmmmm..... Researched this forum and thought mmmmmm...... So, traded my motorcycle (just a thing, you know) and bought from Winter Sound, Gloucester, VA. a new 714ce. Extremely pleased with them and the guitar. It has the sound I'm looking for and looks beautiful. No issues with the ES system. I'm a happly picker.

Peace,
Bo

The cedar/rosewood 714ce is one of my favorite Taylors! Enjoy!

Out of my many Taylors, my 714ce-LTD is my main axe. Of course, mine happens to be Cocobolo and cedar, ha! Had an earlier 714ce model that was rosewood and cedar, but traded that one for my K22 (all Koa) Grand Concert. Prior to my 714ce-LTD, the other 714ce was the guitar I used at all my gigs and workshops. Great Guitar!! Enjoy your new baby!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It's always cool when you find something you can put your heart and soul into and find a return that is equal to your input.

Default Wise choice

Over the past few years I have bought and sold quite a few guitars. There always seemed to be something better. The one I haven't been able to part with is the '01 714ce. I promised my son it will one day be his. I hope he enjoys it as much as I have.

Congratulations

I really like the coco. About 2 years ago I custom ordered a cocobolo and red spruce from a small luthier with slotted peghead and short scale. Regretfully, it wasn't built acording to specs so I refused it. I sometimes wish I hadn't. I do like the understated elegance of the rosewood and koa trim, however. The thing I like best about this guitar is the sound. Tonal quality is just what I have been looking for, note separation and definition with a deep mystic undertone that is beyond any description I can give. I will post pics as soon as I learn how. Is there someone here who can direct me to some instructions that a computer challenged person might follow. I also need to post some pics of the Larrivee in the for sale section.
Thanks and Peace,
Bo
