Its gorgeous! If it plays half as good as it looks, you scored a winner - Congrats and enjoy!

Beautiful!

I owned/played a 2008 Collings D-42A Varnish for many years and loved it. You'll love yours too!

I live in France -in a rather small city -, and I very rarely see guitars like this here...Even Martin D-42s are seldom available in shops around : so far I only saw one Collings (didn't have a chance play it either)...
Is this one custom made ? Martin D-42s do not have Adirondack spruce tops like this one should, then that's why I wonder (since you do not seem to have it with you right now too)...

Should be a great guitar I bet. I hope we'll hear some musical samples one day...

These guitars are custom ordered by the dealer or by a customer through a dealer. Sunburst, Adi tops, etc are all options.

Thanks dspblues : seems like you asked for on-board electronics too (or a previous owner did - or had it installed-). Bought it new ?

I bought it used, but seems to be like new. I would have put this exact pickup in it if I bought it without. I got lucky that it was already installed.
