Nashville music stores..
Made the rounds in Nashville yesterday, Gruhns, Carter,Corner and Guitar Center. Ran out of time..wish I could have made it to Cotten. Slow day at Gruhn's, Carter was a mad house...never seen so many people in a store. Both had the usual good/great stuff. Guitar Center has almost all of their good/vintage guitars nailed to the wall...sorry...I'm not gonna ask to play anything there...At Corner, (they are a big Gibson dealer). Probably had at least 12 new Gibson's. I played at least 7-8 of them...would not have given $400 for any of them if I had to play them. Just awful...BUT....they had a custom shop J-35 that was simply PERFECT!!!...it had just the right amount of thud and ring...the perfect Gibson....when you find a good one they are great!!!

Nashville
Too bad you weren't able to get to Carter's. Definitely worth the time.

Finding that more and more at every guitar center. Anything above 1200 bucks is nailed down. I understand if they have some vintage stuff or custom shop or a D45, but a 300 series Taylor? Or EVERY Stratocaster that is American? Come on!
