Thanks for all the kind words. This one is for sure in the top 4 or 5 guitars that I've ever played or owned. I'm very pleased with it! The two guitars that I traded for it were both costly and incredible so I had high hopes for this old Gibson and it exceeded my expectations for sure!

1949 year for these guitars had a lot going for them with the single x bracing and the red spruce tops that many of them had including this one! All of it adds up to great tone and a huge presence!! I feel blessed to own it and I plan to hang on to it which as many of you know has been a problem for me in the past.

Changes to the 1099k rules and other issues have really clipped my wings so I wanted to settle down for this year with a few great guitars.

The condition is all original on this one with lots of checks in the finish but no cracks in the wood. The neck is very nice and modern and the setup is to die for. The guitar is responsive enough to run light gauge strings and just come alive with them on there!
