Default Anyone here built anything like a Fylde Smithcaster?

I recently listened to John Smith on his Fretboard Journal podcast interview discussing his "Smithcaster" built by Roger Bucknall at Fylde Guitars.

Smith's guitar is a "Thin" acoustic guitar (X bracing) which is fitted with a mic and pickups, but it's a pretty intriguing instrument. Smith plays his guitars through a custom pedal board and uses tons of effects, but the basic acoustic sound of this guitar most definitely makes a huge contribution to the overall sound he obtains.

Once again, it’s “Fylde”, not “Flyde”.

I’m pretty sure that Roger Bucknall built something like this for the late Michael Chapman, many years ago.

I love John's music, and I Gotta say, that little thin line sounds pretty dang good both unplugged and plugged!
