Hey everyone !

My name is Louis Manteau, I am current apprentice of Ervin Somogyi, along side of Jeff Silverman that you recently met on the forum

I'm currently in the last few months of my two-years apprenticeship with the Master, and here I'll share with you some shots from my last build in the shop, a 00 with European spruce and a special set of Koa from the private Somogyi reserve that he gifted me.
That piece of Koa is quite a character piece, I really wanted to preserve these open knots if possible

Yeah, the images don't show up on my side either. but...

I right-clicked on the icons and selected "Open image in a new tab" and they do show up in the new tab. I'm not sure that will work for everyone.

Here are some progress shots of the Rosette, made with Koa, Ebony and green purfling !









I've been working on that guitar while starting the work on the next Somogyi Espalda, built with Osage Orange that you might have seen around in some other posts. Lots of work at the Somogyi HQ !
