Default Fender Prices just went up!

I was thinking about getting a Princeton Tonemaster Reverb amp last week and while I'm sitting on the fence trying to figure out what to do the price went up $50 today. I have a '68 vibro champ reverb amp that I was thinking of selling for the Tonemaster, I wanted to get away from using a tube amp.

I also have a Fender Professional 2 Stratocaster and Telecaster that have gone up $100 as of today.

Oh well, you snooze you lose I guess.

Just like everything else, the Manufacturers have it going in the right direction (into their pockets and squeezing the consumer), so why stop now!?
Of course, even the import stuff has increased pretty dramatically over the last couple years.

If you're buying from the same retailer I use I'm positive that they would discount the $50 (and more) if you ask them.

You snooze you lose, but wake from your nap and get back on the track!

I did get the old deal I had worked up. I just put my order in today and should be getting my Princeton Reverb tone master some time next week. Good thing I didn't snooze too long.

Congrats! I think you will like it. I got a Fender Deluxe Reverb Tonemaster in Blond last November. I like it a lot.

Get a Quilter Aviator US. Or even better a Quilter Superblock US with an extension cab. I don't even bother with my vintage PR and DR tube amps these days. Quilter got it right IMO.

Some retailers (MF for example) haven't updated prices yet.

It's great to hear you all like your tone masters. I'm guessing you all aren't missing the tube amps? I should be getting mine Friday sometime.

Yeah, I noticed the price increase, too. I was doing some research for a friend on the Eric Clapton Stratocaster and noticed its new price: $2,149.99. I bought mine in 2016 and paid $750! Oh sure, the price has increased incrementally since then, so this is just the latest bump.

There will always be a Fender deal. I picked up the Telecaster 4 months ago.

I was also eyeing Fender amps last week when the prices went up. I was eyeing the Princeton Reverb 65' reissue. I got a fair deal on a used one in great shape and went that way -- it's great!

I'm pretty sure most places will give you that $100 increase back for at least the next week or so you just for it -- possibly more.

There is currently a glut of used gear on the market and it is growing all the time. Why pay for a new guitar or amp when you can buy them at pennies on the dollar? I can get nice Strats in my neck of the woods for $350 all day long.
