I had a Guild D-240. It looks like the same guitar except for a few cosmetic features and without the arched back. My wife traded it on my D-20, otherwise I might still have it. I think the off shore Guilds are some of the best.

As far as Oxnard Guild, I've read several reviews that say the Oxnard Guilds are as good as any Guild has made in the past.

That said, I'm probably as passionate about Guilds as many are about their Martins. In my mind they are number one.

I own a Guild Gad F30 that I picked up a few years ago for $140 with a 2 repaired cracks in the top.My experience it is a well build and playing guitar with no issues.
All solid wood spruce and mahogany maple binding low action and nice sounding electronics.Nicely balanced sound that you expect from an all solid wood guitar.

When you open the case, does it smell like weed?

If all else fails and it's worth $0 after a few years, give it to a kid and start them on this journey. You'd still be a head in my book if that happens.

Poor Guild has been passed around like a Bob Marley doobie.

The "Marley" showed up yesterday I tuned it up....Played it up and found no issues even capo'd up to the 7th fret.
The guitar sounds pretty good...I like it and I'm glad it has a satin finish which is something I prefer over gloss
I'll record a song with it later...
I'm not the best at recording as you can tell but what you do get is the room sound, how it really sounds in a room as I record both the voice and guitar through one condenser mic (Neat Worker Bee) That how all my recordings are done...no multi-tracks, non of that Of course, I use reverb and some compression.
Stay Tuned
