I'm sure you're joshing, but it's easy to realize as you play for a while and have a couple of good guitars that, relatively speaking, the price of accessories is small potatoes.

(It is a bit odd to think that the price of a couple Elliott capos, a few Blue Chip picks and an aftermarket Hiscox case cost more than my first D-28 did back in 1971...)

And - yes - For ALL the accessories around the house: capos, picks, tuners, cases, stands, etc., if I had the money they'd cost in one place at one time, I could buy a pretty nice guitar, for sure!

I don't own a dreadnaught, but this has become my go-to pick when I'm not using my fingers. Alexander over at Moose Picks has a great idea! http://www.guitarmoose.com/StickyGri...rbon-fiber.htm

I love v-pick standard ul. I like Blue Chip TP 40 TAD40 TD 35 and 40. I also like ultex .73 and Dunlop big stubby 2.0. I would like to try more exotic ones but I have too many now. They are all over my house

DUNLOP 1.14MM as posted a pic on the 1st page.

I play hard so anything under a 1.0MM I feel is bending on me.

Me, too, Ed. I use the Ultex .63 for practice. I moved away from Dunlop nylons a short while ago and these are my new "go to" picks.

Blue Chip TD-50. A Fender Celluloid 351 Heavy will do in a pinch.

Depending on the gig and instrument my favs are:

Wegen TF140 in 1.2 mm
Blue Chip TPR40
Blue Chip TP-1R 35
Blue Chip KS50

I also carry my favorite cheaper pick wth me always, which is a Dunlop Primetone Semi-Round.

The one I always gravitate to is the Planet Waves "Black Ice" 1.10mm picks. I like the size and shape. The more pointed tip makes for accurate picking. The surface has a bit of grip to it, so it doesn't slid around on me while I'm playing. I like the way it sounds as well.

I've played a bunch, including Blue Chip and natural tortoise. I circled back around and now only use Fender Extra Heavy 351 shape, played with the round corner.
