Default Have been invited to share a beer at Wayne Henderson Shop

I am a little more than a year out from EJ Henderson (daughter of Wayne Henderson and Luthier extraordinaire in her own right) building me a 12 fret Jumbo. Decided to make the pilgrimage to the Wayne Henderson musical festival (on upcoming Saturday of father's day weekend) just to check out the scene, meet EJ and take her up on her offer to let me play Doc Watson's guitar and discuss my build. Went to firm up plans and she has invited me to Wayne' Shop Friday afternoon for a beer, conversation, and socialization with guests of the festival and to play docs guitar. At the risk of being sacreligious, will take my Halcyon. Awesome !! Can't wait.

John

Very cool. Can't wait to hear about the experience and eventually hear about your build. Have heard good things about Jayne Henderson and her guitars.

Best,
Jayne

Wayne's an amazing player, builder, and post master general! I think he retired from mail service. Nice guy. Great player.

What a great way to spend a weekend ! A 12 fret Henderson dread - would love to see a picture when that one is done.

I can only assume that they drink only the good stuff, porters and stouts, at the Henderson workshop. I have watched numerous videos of the goings on there in Rugby during Mr. Henderson's festival. I have a couple friends who go regularly. It's on my bucket list to join them one day.

Should be fun although truth be told, I've been invited to stop by the shop on several occasions after talking it up at several concerts. Don't be disappointed if there's a full house there....
