Thanks for sharing. I have a Green Cheek Conure that sometimes sits on my shoulder in about the same place. On the more uptempo songs he'll sway his body back and fourth to the rhythm like he's dancing.

Nice pic. I have 2 smaller parrots that love it when I play acoustic gtr. , not so much electric. Playing an acoustic they quiet right down. Sun Conures have a big voice for such a small bird. You'll see. Also it might be a good idea to re-think having it on your shoulder. The higher up the bird is will raise his/her rank in your household. One day you might just get your ear nipped. Just saying.

How do Cockatiels do with guitars? I've always loved those birds. They are very loving and friendly. Wonder how my cat might like one? He's a lover but he could become a hunter around a bird.

Very cool pic and setting.

My cat would lay down at my feet when I played acoustic guitar, but would promptly leave and go to the other end of the house when I pulled out my electric.

Very cool pic! I love animals too. I had 4 dogs at one time and was always worried about my guitars but they never knocked one over. That looks like a mighty fine Martin as well.

This is not really true. Dominance theory is based on observed canine behavior. Parrots in the wild don’t follow a social hierarchy based on dominance. Parrots prefer higher places because that’s where they feel safer, not because they want to assert status. This came from a vet.

Doubt it. Got him from a rescue. I'm thinking some type of standard poodle mix. They didn't have any pure bred dogs as far as I know.

That's really cool man, just don't leave him alone with a guitar
On a stand., my cockatoo chewed up a fan blade on a ceiling fan
once, and also damaged a kitchen chair., I was worried about her
Health after that for a good while.
Keep your guitars put a way bro!

That's awesome! Make sure though that Yoshi keeps his head facing forward. You can wash the shirt...not so sure Martin would honor their warranty for damaged finish due to bird droppings?

I have a whole flock of parrots living in my yard! Man, do they make a happy racket when them come home in the evening... every night is party night at the Parrot Tree.

I have read that parrots are very sensitive animals as pets. They can be very happy pets when given attention and training. When ignored, they apparently get neurotic and even go insane from lonliness. Is this true?

Kool parrot. Like your dog too. Both seem fascinated with your playing. (smile)
