Default Best string choice for a 12 string Emerald

I am in the waiting period for my Emerald X7 12 string with the Woody top and headstock. Just wondering what strings other 12 string players use. I like lights or medium lights but what brand?

I've no idea but you might be better served by posting this in the Carbon Fiber section. BTW, what does Alistar ship these with?

I've tried quite a few different brands overthe past 40 years, including 'Nashville Straights' that came uncurled in a long box.
I use D'Addario EXP38's on four 12-string guitars.
Thomastik Infeld 'Plectrum' AC211 are great for tone but rather expensive.
Elixir are just too slippery for me

I will check in the Carbon Fiber section of this forum as well. Thanks for the good input. I will try some of these recommended and give a listen and feel. I am excited to get this unique Emerald. Alistair said he has only built two others like this one. And the Woody top will be awesome, I hope.

Oh I don't think you will be disappointed at all. A carbon fiber guitar that can handle all the tension of 12 strings sounds like a winner. Not to mention Alistar's knack for creating killer looking and sounding guitars. I'm gassing for a Synergy for the sake of owning a harp guitar with the impervious nature of the materials by which it's constructed. Cost is reasonable too. just over $2K for an Artisan Synergy- wow!
