Switching tuners out
I have a new (used ) OM-28. It has Schaller GrandTune open gear tuners in nickel. I want to upgrade to 1:21 ratio tuners and switch to gold. I was looking at the waverly tuners and they look like they will retrofit perfectly, but I’d like to be sure. Does anyone know? Also, if anyone has pictures of gold open gear Waverlys on OM please post.
Much thanks! |

Certainly the locating screw spacing matches - Waverly's have a slightly fatter 6.32mm string post than the Schallers 6.00mm - so you might not be able to use the existing Schaller push fit bushings - they require some care to remove cleanly.
Maybe check with StewMac if they're a straight swap - I believe they actually own Waverly. https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-ha...olid-pegheads/
