Default Quality European Guitars?

This is a question I came up with from a different post. What are some good quality European guitars? There must be some good luthiers there. I'd like to hear about them. Thanks

There are many excellent builders in Europe. I think these are three to consider:

Henkes & Blazer

Lars Rasmussen

Stefan Sobell

There are a lot. Of the individual luthiers, some Germans are really promising. Alexander Voss comes to mind:

Also, Wilm Stoetzel:

Another luthier who is really interesting is Thomas Fredholm, excellent reputation among musicians:

So much more of course...

I have a McIlroy, built in Ireland. It is a marvelous instrument. It’s so good that I’ll never part with it even though I don’t play it as much as I should. Aesthetically it is something to behold, and it sounds even better.

Furch has a great back story. Though their legacy is not as old as Martin, they have become one of the premier guitar makers of Europe.

While there are a number, the best value equation I've found is Furch. I've actually got my eye on another right now. Lowden and Avalon are two others that have always intrigued me but I've not purchased or even played one of either .

Dowina guitars seem to have a good catalogue of hand crafted guitars at sensible prices throughout the three ranges. A company "flying under the radar" but creating some beautiful instruments......https://www.dowina.co.uk

Fredholm is amazing but there’s also another Swedish builder:

I'm a big fan of Lakewood Guitars.

Their M series is similar to Taylor's GA series. Even after all these years my I still proudly play my M32 even though I now own guitars that cost double (or more) what that one would retail for now (not to mention 3-5X what I paid for it back in 2003).

As others have indicated, there are probably a number of great European based luthiers.

From my personal experience, I would vouch for Blazer & Henkes. They are among the best luthiers in the planet, let alone Europe. If you crave a vintage tone, you should see if you can try out a Blazer & Henkes!!!

If you're looking at luthiers, I'd add Taran Guitars, Tom Sands and Turnstone Guitars too those already mentioned
