Talking about nickel strings on a J45, I really like the Martin Monels on my J45 TV, they bring that vintage vibe, last longer than 80/20s or PB ( I never play coated strings).
The D'Addario NB and the JP NB packs are waiting on the shelf, they do cost more though. Thanks for the audio clips Barry, I played a brand spanking new 2016 J45 standard the other day at the store and was blown away. I think I want one, just found it a tad too bright with the stock 80/20s and was wondering how it would sound with some played in NB on.
