Default Finally have my Tak 16c butttttt!!

yes i'm quite pleased with the investment and for waiting so long to decide. after saying that i didn't realize it at the shop-practically took it and out the door-anyway i've discovered that the "cool tube" doesn't kick in at all when connected to the amp-the elect. works but not the tube(didn't plug it in at the shop)and i'm finding that as you chord-pick-about halfway down the neck that the strings are a little too high(i've been playing for a few yrs and yes it hurts my fingers after playing for a few minutes)-so i've read that one could sand down the saddle a little to fix this-so could i do this without going back to the shop-i know i'll have to return it to check out the cool tube though-what are your suggestions guys?

2 words of advice, "set up". Get the rest of the repairs done at the same time.
