To the OP - I've only played one burst D-15, but it was spectacular. It was during my shopping trip to Elderly, almost 2 years ago now, when I bought my Larrivee. I've never been real fond of burst finishes, so I had them dig out a standard D-15 for me to try from their stock, and while it was nice, it wasn't half the guitar the burst on the sales floor was. That one was truly special. If there had been any way for me to afford 2 guitars, it would have come home with me along with the Larrivee.

Yeah! My point was about the tone and feel...the GC one he played certainly won't be the same as the one some Sweetwater employee whacked on the old truck for him...so here's hoping it all works out!!!!!!
