Old people loooove the obligatory “Danny Boy”. They’ll be tossing their support hose at you….

Well, there are a few Irish songs in this world, that's for sure!! Do you have any Irish friends you can ask? |

Yeah, there's a ton of 'em.
Tell more about the gig to help us narrow it down.

"Mountains O' Mourne". Beautiful melody, fun to sing, and the lyrics tell a sweet & funny story. Try to find Don McLean's version; it has a lovely fingerpicked guitar part that's not as hard as it sounds to play.

You could totally fool people into thinking "Flowers of Edinburgh" isn't Scottish trad...It's been done before...not gonna say by who.....

What’s best is when you can get them clapping and singing along. “Whiskey In The Jar” and “The Wild Rover” have some audience participation parts, and “Molly Malone” will get sung along with.

Fields of Athenry is a stirring piece with a chorus they can sing along to.
Lots of Christy Moore tunes to get the Guinness flowing. |

I think that songs such as “The Unicorn” and “Black Velvet Band” by The Irish Rovers would go over quite well.
