Default D-28 Short Scale Cutaway

Plays like a dream with no difference I can really tell. Maybe I lucked out but I had to order it and it checks all the boxes. Lol. I tried a lot of guitars until I gambled and custom built one with the SS and Cutaway to get the Martin tone.https://share.icloud.com/photos/07cy...h63UjRHNclMKXA

Had you played any short scale Martin dreadnoughts before you custom ordered this one?

I did not 😂, but talked to the guys at Alamo and played a few J-45s. The short scale is so much nicer for me. I watch a few comparisons and couldn’t hear a difference with them so I took a shot. If you like the shorter scale I highly recommend it

Congrats on your custom Martin cutaway! In 2018 I bought a Martin DC-18E and HD-28E cutaway. They discontinued them in late 2019 I think. I am so glad I got them when I did. They are not short scale but I love them! Here is my HDC-28E from a show I played tonight.
