Where have all the pre-2012 D-18 Standards Gone...
...long time ago?
There must be hundreds(?) thousands(?) of factory fresh pre 2012 Martin D-18 Standards out there, somewhere. Yes, I'm interested in finding one, but also just wondering where they went once the NEW standard D-18 hit the market. Ferreted away in a big warehouse waiting for a time when what's old again becomes new again? Ground to sawdust for "Martin Blend" laminates? Or....?

I just purchased a used 2012-era D-18 on this forum about 2 weeks ago. I watched for one here and over at UMGF and in the process saw several pre-2012 D-18s come and go over at UMGF.
