Default Journey OF660M

This model has a truss rod cover and what appears to be an adjustable truss rod. Is it actually adjustable? If so, does it work like a regular truss rod?

Is there a way to get a specific question like this (or support) at Journey?

Thanks all

Yes it does have a 2-way truss rod, although I only made a slight adjustment one time. These guitars are carbon and rock solid.

Should you ever need a question answered by Journey customer service, you should have no issues as they have responded to my queries multiple times over the years.

Thank you for that information. It’s helpful and really appreciated. BTW, I have a used OF660M on the way. Can’t wait!

I think you'll like it. It's rather heavy for an acoustic - likely due to the large amount of steel used in the neck attachment system, which is very robust. One thing to watch out for when you put it together: on mine, the nut tends to shift a bit one way or the other when the neck is detached and the strings go slack. I haven't bothered gluing mine in, but you may want to if you're really picky about such things - I just sort of even mine up by hand/sight.

If you're a fan of larger (i.e. rounder/fuller) necks you'll be in hog heaven. My main player is a Rainsong with the NS2 neck, so I feel right at home with the Journey. It's really nice to have a guitar that takes up so little space in the trunk or overhead bin (I've flown about ten flight segments so far - several on regional jets and have never had a problem stowing it in the bin) and is essentially bulletproof due to the CF construction. I played mine a few weeks ago at a memorial for a friend and the folks attending had no complaints about the tone (I was plugged into FOH with a mic for my voice and a 1/4" to the guitar - a little reverb and I was good to go).
