Default Good Grief (Original Song)

Well, here's another song of mine which is a slow ballad. I was thinking Gregg Allman, but it came out more like Elmer Fudd, lol. Elmer Allman maybe? Anyhow, it's a really simple song, like anything I do, and I actually wrote a bridge for this one. I am not sure if this song is even any good, but it's honest:

Thank you, Joe. My son said that it sounded like a Dead tune, and I took that as a huge compliment, lol.

Man, Tim, you've really been holding out on us all this time, just posting covers. Although the sample size isn't huge (so far!), you're a darn fine songwriter. I'd go along with 'sounds like a Dead tune' on this one. I've never had even an inkling of an idea to actually write a song - I sort of subscribe to George Thoroughgood's philosophy of "why write more songs when Chuck Berry already wrote 'em all", but I'm sure if I had an idea of one to write, I'd try to. Good on you for writing these last couple, and for finally sharing them with us. Well worth the listens...

Ray, I really wouldn't consider myself much of a songwriter. These are two of my best ones, and I have a couple more that are decent maybe. That's actually all I will post here of my originals. I am more of just a picker at this point. I appreciate the very kind words about my tunes, though. I guess I wanted to document these in some way, so that's why you are hearing them now. I definitely wasn't holding out on some huge repertoire of original songs--there are 3 or 4 worth sharing, and the rest are "Smelly Cat" bad, lol.
