Very cool. Good story too. We have a website thing called "Streetlife" which enables people to give away stuff they don't want/need, to someone who does.
I've given on it a few times (although no guitars!) - and I have gained frog spawn twice (trying hard to get frogs to live in my wildlife pond!).

Currently hoping for some paving slabs.

While this story did not bring a tear to my eye, it did make my nose sting a little.

Good job, Rev.

Yep. It'll be a very nice starter guitar.

Nope. Nicely aged spruce top and HPL b/s. I had it set up with very friendly action so it's super playable. Last thing this gentleman needs in his life is a badly set up guitar that's hard to play.

Well done! That guitar could make a huge difference to the new recipient under the circumstances.

Rev Roy nice touch man.........I know how it feels, been there done that.

My story..........I remember when I was down and out and didn't know how to play a guitar and even if I did, I didn't have the funds to purchase one. A stranger I only met while watching him perform said to me while we were having a chat........."are you interested in playing a guitar?" I said "yes". Lo and behold, 2 weeks later I got an old classical sent to me with a letter telling me it was from an old Gentleman who was ill with cancer and wanted it to go to somebody in need. It was a rough looking git but sure helped me to where I am today.

I will never forget that feeling. It is one that everyone should experiment. Very touching indeed.

I never met that old Gentleman but God Bless him. Since than, I've given that guitar to someone who was in need and also contributed 5-6 guitars to others in need of a start too.
