did taylor ever make a short scale dreadnought or GA guitar?
I know that the GCs are a little shorter but has Taylor ever produced a DN or GA guitar with a 1 3/4" neck width but a short scale length? Is this something I would have to custom order?
thanks everyone. |

My 2016 710e is a short scale and I believe there's a short scale 300 series dread.

Yes, I've seen & played a very nice Taylor 510e. Short-scale, slotted-head, with a 1&3/4 inch nut. Lutz spruce over mahogany.

I believe the current 520 (mahogany) dreadnought is shorter-scale.

thanks for the info everyone!
edit: it also turns out the new 310ce guitars that will be released in May 2017 are short scale... which is perfect! Last edited by ii Cybershot ii; 04-16-2017 at 10:57 AM. |

There also used to be 510 and 710 limiteds that were short scale somewhere between 2004-2010. I believe these were designated as L9 maybe?

I think flaggerphil is correct. The current 310s are short scale. Hmm...I wonder if the 2017 version will have the slot head like the newer 510 and 710.

There was definitely a short scale 410 fall limited with Walnut.
