Thumbs up Just played my first Iris guitar and dang me! WOW!

For those who know me I'm a nit about acoustic guitars and I've been blessed to play some just stellar instruments over the years.

I recently took a 2022 Iris DF in in trade. It is Red Spruce over Mahogany. I just put a new set of strings on it and was shocked. I've not heard many guitars as responsive and powerful as this one for under $5k let alone under $3k and made in the US. I'm very very impressed!! Those guys are going to sell a lot of instruments if they can keep consistently producing guitars like this.

Anyway I just wanted to share quick.

Here's a quick video I did of it.

They really are terrific. If I had any holes in my collection whatsoever, I'd be looking at them.

Their AB model is one of the best looking guitars in production today as far as I'm concerned.

I placed an order just 2 weeks ago for an Iris ND-200 jumbo with that exact timber combination - Mahogany/Red Spruce.

Should look like this one.

I'm lucky to live down the street from them. Ben & Bucky’s Guitar Boutique is next to the factory now as well. I expect they will be getting more Iris, Circle Strings and Fairbanks guitars in stock as well as consignments and their collection of vintage electrics. I met Ben and he seems to be a really nice guy. If you decide to visit or call, please tell him I said hi!

That's pretty cool that you have been impressed by Iris guitars, Bobby! You have had a lot of stellar instruments in your hands over the years.

I have never had a chance to play one; I am looking forward to it.

Please -- you have to do a quick video -- would like to hear what it sounds like.

Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what strings do you have on it?

Thanks.
