What I love about the Kraken is that you never know if you will see a WHL team tripping over their own skates... or a deep team where 7 different guys score on a highly rated opponent. They are so inconsistent, it's crazy!

How's your team doing so far this season?

And what happened to the Oilers? Wow, what a fall. Thinking coach Woodcroft is going to get fired, although he won 50 games last year.

Hi Dru! How've you been? Your Bruins are looking strong. Real strong.

My Pens have been as inconsistent as their 6-6 record suggests. Goaltending, power play and secondary scoring issues are the most glaring deficiencies. The production of Karlsson and the top six has been the saving grace for the team.

As for the Oilers, well I have no idea what their problem is, but I'm with you in believing that a coaching change is going to happen soon unless they turn things around quickly.

Canucks and Rangers off to surprisingly good starts. Rangers aren't grinders and won't stay there. Just took a peek at the standings - tough league!

NY Islanders are below average, sad to say.

Kings are starting to play better.
Doing better than last year, as far as penalty killing and power play.
They don't have any real offensive stars, but seem to get good scoring from all 4 lines.
They do appear to be an overall better team than last year. We'll see where that goes.

Well, it has come to pass: Woodcroft fired.

The Kraken got a coach fired by losing 4-1, now THAT is an accomplishment.

Where are the hockey fans, hey?!

My Flames battling hard in Vegas, as I type. 2-2 w/just under 6 minutes to play in the 2nd.

Hats off to John Tavares for getting his 1000th point against the Islanders. Seems like a great teammate to have.

Watched Auston Mathews the other night and marveled at how little space he needs to get that shot of his off. Trying to think of others where the puck is in the net and you have no idea who took the shot?

Matthews is scoring a ton of goals. I think he just might hit 60 goals again.
