Default PSA: Good deal on J-29 Elite Limited Ed.

I've seen these retail for $2999. MF is blowing them out for $1999.

I played one last year in my search for the ultimate 'dread' for me. I thought it sounded very good. Not as good to my taste as an AJ, but nice just the same. It seemed rather heavy, weight-wise. If a Gibson fan wanted a J-45 style guitar with rosewood back and sides, the J-29 would be worth checking out. The one I played wasn't bad at all.

That is a very good price. It has more bling than I traditionally like, but that is a lot of guitar for the money. I like how Gibson has added additional designations for acoustics that are not J-45s (J-15/J-29).

So it sounds like all of the 147 models that Taylor makes? I wonder how they did that.

I have a friend who's never played a guitar in his life, he also says "all guitars sound the same"

I'm amazed at how little Gibson has to change to make a model "Elite" and charge more.
