The flare gun solution is the most idiotic idea I can imagine. Good guitars must be carried onto planes and put in overheads. Pro musicians need to do this or buy a seat. Putting a flare gun into anything to keep TSA out guarantees hyper-special attention to you and your luggage. Best way to miss flights and be misunderstood is to put a bullseye on your ticket!!
Board early. Fly direct. Put your guitar in the overhead. Leave TSA alone
