Lightbulb Horse with no name tips

I’ve been trying to learn horse with no name and the strumming patterns. One thing I could use help identifying is if there’s any string muting I should be doing after the first up strum while strumming the second D6\9\F# chord and/or if theres any other partial muting going on. I tried watching America play and can’t really tell.

Been awhile, but yes. I soft palm mute after each of the four upstrokes of the second chord. Haunting tune, huh?

Lots of online lessons available. I really like the lessons on Jerry’s Guitar Bar, which is free on this one. Multiple parts and (I like) the alternate tunings.
