Anyone tried wooden picks?
I just saw Etsy selling wooden picks of all types of wood. Has anyone used these and, if so, how does the sound compare to a Bluechip?

I have a couple of Thalia wooden picks but they’re a little bit too bright for me. Shoot me a PM with your address and I can send you one.

A friend gave me a bunch of wood picks, made from various exotic woods. They are super cool looking, but unplayable to me - way too bright and harsh sounding in use.

That reminds me... A while back somebody gave me some picks carved out of coins - quarters. I did not care for them as picks at all. Entirely too heavy and stiff.

I tried some wooden picks back in the 90's and didn't have good luck with them at all. The tips chipped really bad.

John Pearse sent me some when he introduced them to the John Pearse/Breezy Ridge product line. I didn’t care for them on guitar but I had a mandocello at the time and liked them pretty well on that.

I have one. It looks cool. It feels good. But it sounds like garbage. Too clicky.
