Guitar Stores in Birmingham
I will be in Birmingham, Alabama, for a day or two. Anyone know the best guitar stores? Places with higher end stuff—Collings, custom Martins, Huss and Dalton, something us small town guys don’t see everyday?

Fretted Instruments in Homewood area is the only Collings dealer in town. Bailey Brothers on Highway 280 may have a custom Martin or two along with Gibsons, Taylors , the usual suspects. Hope this helps.

Fretted Instruments is definitely worth the stop. It's a small converted house just jammed with guitars and cases all over the place.
Other than that, not much other than GC and small shops with low end stuff.

No such thing as a "former " bulldog.

I was there during the Dooley era and when Herschel was Superman, so you are right, still a Bulldog. But I guess we can close this thread since it is no longer about guitar stores in Birmingham. We may have friends in common though.

Check out True Vintage as well. I ran into John a couple years ago and he had a ‘41 000-42.
