Default John Pearse Humidifier

Does anyone use the John Pearse Guitar humidifier?

http://www.jpstrings.com/braccess.htm (at the bottom of this page)

Does it work well for you?

Exhaust - it looks just like the Martin branded humidifier - both very similar to the Dampit which has been out for decades.

I can't tell the size, but the Martin humidifier that I bought (picture below, with the standard Dampit) is larger and will therefore hold a bit more water.

As with any of the sponge-type, make sure you wring it out well before putting it in your guitar, and just check it every 3 days or so. If it stays damp (the sponge is still soft and not hard/dry) after 3-4 days, you are providing as much moisture as the wood, case, and lining can take.

I found the Martin at Amazon; the Dampits can be found there or at most good guitar shops.

Best,

Phil
