Default Anyone build something like a D35?

Are there any builders who build something equivalent to a martin d35? I love the sound especially the big bass but would live to see other attempts or versions of it. I see lots of takes on d28 and d18 but not D35.

Well, kind of, lol.

I have always loved the D35 kind of sound. But in latter years I have come to love the dreadnought body shape less.

So, in an attempt to scratch two itches with one hand as it were, I got a Grand Auditorium (OM?) size guitar with a 3 piece back. it's Braz/Spruce and I dont think it gives any ground at all to a dread.

I entirely recognize how unscientific it is to attribute any characteristic where there has been more than one variable, but to my ear carrying forward the wood and 3 bit back has carried forward the characteristics I desired.

Btw the instrument is an Avalon.

There was a Yamaha copy from the 70's -80's I think.

But the Martin D-35 is one of those guitars that has a unique voice. Like the Gibson Hummingbird, The D-35 is one of those guitars that if you want that sound , you pretty much have to buy that particular guitar.
