Default Fretboard binding separation

The ivaroid binding around the ebony fretboard on my Larivee acoustic has begun to separate at the two corners nearest the soundhole. Larivee has suggested ordering some modeler's glue for the repair. They say pull the peices apart and apply the glue, then hold the pieces tight for a minute before using tape to secure them while the glue sets. Looking at the situation, I think some kind of clamping will be necessary because the binding pieces seem hung up on the frets, and I'm not sure hand pressure will be enough to bring them back into alignment. I think I need a couple of clamps, but the surface area of the binding is extremely thin. Any suggestions?

I have a picture, but I can't figure out how to post it. Apparently, it has to be hosted somewhere.

Small 4 " sliding bar clamps or use masking tape to hold while glue dries. I suggest super glue gel.

This happened to one of my Larrivees years ago. A small dot of superglue fixed it.
