We won't know how anything went until into the season. Stuff happens.

Feeling good about the lack of any reaches by the Raiders, lots of value picks. Very strange. Welcome change.
No QB this year, and next year's class looks...thin to say the least. Not sure what the solution is there, but hopefully we can build a team around whomever does finally land the QB job long-term. |

I was completely underwhelmed by the Packers. They had a lot of picks and I feel they did not do much with them. They drafted a left tackle in the first round that most predicted would go mid to late 2nd, one year removed from an ACL repair and likely can't play left tackle in the NFL. Most grades on that pick are a C to C+. Second pick, an undersized LB from Tx A&M. Not really excited. The USC running back, Lloyd may be something, but time will tell.

That pick was a huge surprise and a huge bummer to Raider fans.

Here's a summary of all the Pats picks this year:
* Round 1, 3rd overall: QB Drake Maye, North Carolina * Round 2, 37th overall: WR Ja'Lynn Polk, Washington * Round 3, 68th overall: OT Caedan Wallace, Penn State * Round 4, 103rd overall: G Layden Robinson, Texas A&M * Round 4, 110th overall: WR Javon Baker, Central Florida * Round 6, 180th overall: CB Marcellas Dial, South Carolina * Round 6, 193rd overall: QB Joe Milton III, Tennessee * Round 7, 231st overall: TE Jaheim Bell, Florida State A good move by the Patriots was bringing back Jacoby Brisset for a one year stint. He's well liked, and will be a good mentor to the 2 QB's the Pats drafted. Given the Maye pick at QB, interesting that they also selected Joe Milton III, but he could be a dark horse in the Pats' future. Big kid, 6'5'', tons of potential, but needs development. Sounds like someone else they drafted in the 6th round a couple of decades ago... Other than that, I like the WR's. They should be exciting to watch, according to local reports. And Mayo as head coach. I think he will be a good one, even though he has pretty big shoes to fill.

McCarthy will underwhelm in the pros.

I understand the Steelers did pretty good but I won't be engaged until August.

Only time will tell. Top ten QB picks are about a 60% "success" rate, IIRC. I'm glad they took a shot instead of taking your word as gospel.

It takes years to know how any of them did. It will be interesting to follow these top QB picks over the coming years. Brock Purdy has really upset the apple cart on what to expect out of XX draft picks.
What I think is crazy is what the whole Draft spectacle has become. 275k people there the first night. That's insane. 230k the second night. |

This article says 41%. But their metrics are different from others I've read that indicate overall it's about 30% "success rate" for top 10 drafted QBs. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/h...and-best-bets/ |

For every team like the Bills that quickly built a good team around Allan, there is the revolving door of suckage that has been the Jets, and before Baker Mayfield, the Browns.
