Martin website says 24.9" which is Martin's version of short scale.

Which Martin years had the binding problems, and was it for all models?

Plenty of threads about the problem on AGF and UMGF......

Mine has taken nearly 7 years to loosen, so.....>>>>>>>>>>????????? No idea?...

It is a fairly simple fix, I read, not too expensive.

Generally speaking, it seemed to be worst from about 2013-2017. There are isolated examples outside of that window, but from reading endless threads on this topic (so lots of anecdotes, no statistics!), that seems to be most of it. And it was many models, not unique to the CEO-7 by a long shot. If you're looking at a used Martin from those years, worth asking if the binding problem had come up and if it'd been repaired. The repairs seem to last. If it hasn't happened after this many years, does that mean it won't? Maybe, maybe even probably, but I wouldn't bet a large ranch on it.

I have a 2014 CS D-28 that had the binding on the back come lose at the waist. Easy fix for mine. Think it was mostly 2014/15/16 but it could happen to any guitar I suppose?

Thanks for the replies. Good to keep in mind. I've considered looking for a 00-DB in the future, which was a 2013 model I think. Will have to keep the potential cost of a repair in mind as well.

As long as nothing else falls off, and the binding is small beans, my CEO7 is still a fabulous guitar for general fingerpicking. About 7 years old is getting to some great tone, adi top opened up, Honduran mahogany cooking and that V neck is a beaut! My tuners ate fine, if a touch tight. It was high when new but a recent setup is just great.

Well, quite neutral opinion here :
I tried one while looking for a bluezy sound since Martin announced it
as a bleuzy one, but I had found it to rather sound folk...
