Good Service
One of my hard cases came with a thermometer/hygrometer and after a couple of years the battery in it went dead. O, I took out the battery and took it to the Radio Shack. Somehow, I then lost the battery before I got there. Ok, it was a week before I got there. The Radio Shack guys couldn't match up the battery with the thermometer so I called the guys I bought the guitar from.
I said "hey, you know the little thermometer in your cases? Can you look and tell me the battery number? And the reply was "sure, I can look in a few minutes, but how about if I just send you some batteries, free?" and asked for my address. Fast forward 5 days and I get a package in the mail. Inside is 2 batteries as promised. Plus, there's a whole new case hygrometer with batteries inside! Plus there's a black velvet drawstring bag, with a set of light acoustics strings and silica gel bag! All, no charge, and I bought my guitar 2 years ago. That's the kind of service my Dad used to give, and I was surprised as you hardly find that anymore. Who was the service person? Dennis Zager, Jr., of Zager Guitars. I know there's plenty who have never said a kind word about Zager, but it was above and beyond normal service.

The extra mile
This does not happen often, but it's worthy of celebration when it does.
