Default Wanted: Teacher in Northern IL/Southern WI

I've "messed around" with the guitar for 20 years and have hit a point where I'm ready to get serious. I'm very interested in fingerstyle - and would want to play everything from Kottke and Gary Davis to Nickel Creek to Cat Stevens and some pop - but fingerstyle. I want more than just being able to learn a song via muscle memory from tab and want to actually understand what's going on. My ultimate goal is to learn enough theory to be able to listen to typical western pop/folk music and arrange it into an instrumental fingerstyle tune.

I know a little basic music theory. Maybe I should emphasize a LITTLE! I'm ready to bust my rear to get to where I need to be, but I think I need the direction and structure of a teacher.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!
