It can be that I am no fan of the v neck and the 43mm nut (45 and 48 come as custom) width which make them hard to play for me!
It took me some time to get used to the V shaped neck too, for info their millenium series have a 45 mm nut width. I remember you were searching for a new guitar, did you find any you like?

I did like a few guitars, but not sure I know what I want.
I need to be patient and school myself by going and playing guitars regularly
in shops.
So far, i liked best a Martin om1-gt (despite the materials),a Larrivee om-05 and a Furch Oom-32sm.
I desperately want to try more furch guitars, but there's only one Furch dealer in my area!
And they don't have a full line.
It's boring because me living in Sweden means I would have more guitar for the money
if "the one" was a furch ( to skip import taxes).

Default Your opinion about Furch/Stonebridge guitars

Roligt at träffa svenskar
You should go and try some more in others stores, I don't know where you live in sweden but take a trip to Stockholm if necessary, didn't you also try a D35Sr or something like that?

Ah t'es francais, je suis franco suédois, Goteborg is a big city, it must be easy to try some other Furch models, if you're a mahogany guy try the Om32sm which is terrific, or the D32sm, or go for the 0032sm, I prefer mahogany too, here in Paris it's not to difficult to find some Furch guitars, and honestly all I tried really sounded great, through I am not that much a cedar/rosewood guy, even those sounded great

Well, I wouldn't go that far - fit, finish and sound on my Collings, as befits a guitar costing nearly 5x as much, beats my Stonebridge Grand Concert cedar/hog, but it is still a VERY good guitar and better then any Martin I've played. It is also extremely light and resonant and goes on forever in open C tunings.

Better than any Martin you've played? Have you played many Martins?

I used to own a G23CR-C, and I would categoricaly state that my Taylor 812CE 12 fret is vastly superior in every department, tone, playability, build, aesthetics, everything. And so is my Martin 000-18 (except for the aesthetics bit). My Stonebridge (name used for the European market) came with a nut cut rather high, which gave it playability and intonation issues. Also, the tone, which was nice enough, was to me a little bland and characterless. Every time I have sold one of my acoustics, I've been filled with regret when I heard prospective buyers trying them out, but not with the Stonebridge. Instead I was hoping that they would not notice how bland and characterless it sounded and decide not to buy it.

To each their own as what you're describing as "bland " is majority of Taylor's I've played .

I've owned 2 Furch guitars. One D-20 and one OM-20. Great sound from both instruments but the satin is fragile as hell. They're literally glass cannons.

Does Furch use lighter wood than other manufacturers or is the satin finish just fragile?

Have tried numerous Taylor's but can honestly say that not a single one spoke to me like my furch OM32SM. I am a fan of martin 000-18's though, but they're just ridiculously overpriced over here. I Wouldn't trade my furch for anything....even a martin!
