Question Guild BT-258E Deluxe 8 string Baritone & Strumming

Baritones have a reputation of being muddy sounding when strummed. Does anyone have experience with the 8 string baritone by Guild? Just wondering if the eight strings makes it better Strummer?

I don’t have experience with the Guild, but I strum my McAlister baritone all the time. It works fine.

By adding top end octave strings I suspect that the Guild adds clarity to the sound. That’s certainly the case with the Taylor 8 string baritone guitars: those higher strings add some sparkle.
