I’ve occasionally seen ads for things like a “000 D-18”…

Exactly. Or "comes with a couple of picks".

... and Welcome to the AGF!

This is a picture of Brucebubs avatar. (The AGF's term for the little picture beside a member's user name). I believe it is supposed to be a set of tuner post nuts. At least he could have got six that match. These nuts drive me nuts. Just kidding. I remember Bruce's previous avatars, one that had six different nuts all lined up and another one that had six nuts all the same that weren't all lined up. He got flack for those too.

I'm bothered more by the pictures of guitars with NO strings installed. Makes me think the guitar has likely not been cared for very well.

I like the photos taken on an unmade bed. Did they just wake up and decide to sell their guitar?

Leaving them long helps them flex instead of impaling the wayward fingers. But it bothers me, too. Not nearly as much as setting on concrete AND leaning precariously on a hard floor. Headstock fracture a matter of when, not if.

But then there are photos like this one from a recent ad on Reverb. This just drives me nearly insane. And when I see it in person I really lose my mind! What about you? Post a photo of a guitar that drives you nuts.

For posting NGD, unless the guitar is uniquely custom, why not just post a good photo from a seller's site? These will usually be done to show the guitar in its best light.

Even better, why not make a video of the new owner actually playing the guitar and telling us why s/he chose that guitar and what it brings to his or her "musical table" (i.e. why did s/he buy that particular instrument)? That would be far more informative than simply a picture of the guitar.

Setting fine instruments on concrete to make the pose look artist is the worst. Should be illegal in all states and PR.

That was probably from a special run in the Custom Shop. You should have jumped on that one.

Any guitar photo that shows someones bare feet. I hate feet and don’t want to someone’s hairy, stinky and nasty feet while looking at photos of a guitar.

So I guess there's just no way to win with any picture of six nuts. Doesn't seem fair at all

Agree. How hard is it to frame the phone to remove your feet or crop the photo? I don't need to see your troll foot you weirdo!
