OP here. Thanks for the votes and comments. I am leaning in the direction of the Yamaha, with the Eastman being time other one that has my interest most. That said, I expected the Taylor to get the most votes due to name recognition and the fact that the 214 can be found everywhere (and also that Taylor makes consistently good instruments). So I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Somewhat surprised that nobody recommended another Martin or a Takamine.

Appreciate the LL16 recommendations, but I was asking about a cutaway.

And finally, I find that I like the Yamaha pickguard, despite it being pretty weird? And I’m somewhat picky (no pun intended) with pickguards.
