Default Breedlove Love, NGD

I swapped for a Taylor 814 for a Breedlove Legacy Auditorium (myrtlewood and Sitka). Amazing instrument. Wanted something different as I had 2 814 Taylors. Very pleased. I have had an older Breedlove years ago that was nice. I know that they have a lot of history and market a good deal of imported instruments, but their USA models are still top notch. Similar to the Taylor in quality and playability. Not as bright, but very good sound quality.
If you get a chance to play one of their upper end instruments……

Let’s see some photos or it’s not a new guitar day.

IMHO, Breedloves don't get the credit they deserve. Congrats on your new love.

Big BL fan here too. Keeping my eyes open for a good deal on a used Legacy Concertina. If you like BLs, you'd also likely like the sister company Bedell. My parlor is an amazing instrument for its price.

I have a Breedlove Premiere Auditorium and I find myself a little paranoid that it's essentially irreplaceable at this point because they stopped making them. Great guitar.

I wish I understood their move away from Auditoriums.

I have a couple gorgeous Masterclasses; I just put one down to write this. I must stop typing and play more

Indeed. They seem to fly under the radar. Congrats to the OP on a nice find.

Excellent choice. Love the Sitka/Myrtlewood paring.

I have a USA Breedlove also (2011 American Series OM/SReH). It became one of main gigging guitars right away.

I also own a Martin D40 and Taylor 324e. I've often described the Breedlove as the Martin/Taylor love child.

I also happened to fall in love with a Breedlove USA series recently. It made all my other guitars go to sleep. It is so light and responsive and I can’t believe how much bass this guitar can sing.

They replaced the Auditorium with the Concerto which is almost the same dimensions, slightly wider and thicker.

Breedlove's most famous model is the Concert, and a few years back they streamlined their body shapes to only four, based on that shape. The Concerto is an upsized Concert, while the Concertina and Companion are smaller.

I think it was a good business strategy to simplify the lineup, and I don't think the Concerto loses anything versus the dreadnought, jumbo, and auditorium models it replaced—it has more volume, bass, and boom than most dreads I've played.

Count me as a Breedlove fan. I’ve got an Oregon series Concert CE with Myrtlewood back and sides, and a Port Orford Cedar top. It has a warm and balanced tone that few guitars can match!

Another BL fan! Two concerts; sitka over maple, & Port Orford cedar over Walnut! Absolutely Lucius!

Thanks for that info. I thought the Concerto was bigger than that. Glad to see they're still doing something in that space.
