I did my own tuner review a while ago. TC Unitune are an international make - I know nothing of a connection with local American retailer.
In my humble, the TC Unitine is too big, have limited clip rotation flexibility and the auto switch off is a pain, but they are still the best tuner currently on the (international) market. This is a review of various I did some time ago :
