I've used Shubb deluxe capos on all my guitars for years. Not too expensive and work just fine.

Favorite Capo?
I have always liked and used Shubbs though I did buy a G7th a few years ago. At the time it didn't do what I thought it should and it needed too much pressure, especially on lower frets, to effectively stop all the strings.
Recently though I've grown to like it, possibly because it seems to work perfectly with my MiM Telecaster so it usually sits in the gig bag for that guitar. I really really do not like the Keyser style that clamp into the neck, I find them ugly and ungainly; ymmv.

Over the years I've used a lot of capos. Way back I thought the Dunlop double strap was king. Then I changed to Keysers as they were easier/quicker to get on. Once I tried Shubbs they became my favorite and still are for several guitars.
When I bought my HD28V I didn't care for the way my Shubbs fit the mod v neck. After all the good things I heard about McKinney/Elliot capos I decided to give them a call. I ended up with the Elite with a v shaped saddle. It fits the neck perfectly and is so low profile I hardly notice it there. I never thought I'd spend that much on a capo, but when I consider the cost of the collection of capos I have, I realized I already had 😳. And this one works best. And it is by far the finest craftsmanship of all of mine. So to the OP, the McKinney -Elliot Is my favorite capo but YMMV.

Performance: Elliott McKinney Elite.
Best value: Shubb F1. Tied for 3rd is the Planet Waves NS and the Shubb Deluxe. For a partial capo I like my brass Shubb GC-8PB. |

My Elliott, Received it as a gift and by far the best capo I've had. It pretty much stays on all the time.
